Disability Charter of French Grandes Ecoles

ESSEC signed the second Handicap Charter of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles on February 11th, 2019.
With this charter, the CGE is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities benefit from the same conditions of study and success as others, in accordance with the law of February 11, 2005 for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities.
Through this signature, ESSEC is committed to continuing its efforts to facilitate the academic career of students with disabilities.

The 2nd Handicap Charter extends the commitments made in the 1st Handicap Charter of 2008 and sets new objectives:

  • To improve the continuum "Secondary studies / Higher education / Professional life".
  • To promote student life as a major inclusive vector 
  • To guarantee access to sports for students with disabilities, as part of the dynamic launched following Paris' designation as the host city for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • To support the international mobility of students with disabilities

The signing of this Charter took place in the presence of Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Sophie Cluzel, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of the disabled.
